Classwork: Early Medieval Europe (3)

Over the course of the unit, we will be going through different sections of the textbook in class. Whenever we start a reading, the questions will be due the next day and there will be a reading checkpoint made available after school for homework (unless there are other instructions). The attached Google Forms correspond to a specific topic/lesson in the textbook.

The Early Middle Ages in Europe

After the western Roman empire collapsed, Western Europe began an era of social, political, and economic decline. But from the ruins of the Roman empire, a new European civilization emerged. Historians call this period of European history between ancient times and modern times—roughly from 500 CE to 1500 CE—the Middle Ages. Its culture is called medieval civilization, from the Latin words meaning “middle age.”
