Samurai and Knights Quick Write
More than a thousand years ago, a class of professional warriors arose, who swore oaths of loyalty to noble lords and fought to the death to defend them in battle. Interestingly, this happened at about the same time in both Japan and Europe, even though the regions are thousands of miles apart. The Japanese called their warriors samurai; the Europeans called their warriors knights. This DBQ asks you to compare the two.
You will need to write two full paragraphs. Remember, a paragraph is around 100 words, therefore, your quick write should be around 200 words. You can either write all about the similarities, all about the differences, or one paragraph for the similarities and one paragraph for the differences. There also needs to be two citations from the documents (one in each paragraph).
