One of the best ways to learn about history and our shared cultural heritage is to travel and experience different cultures and visit sites of historical significance.
East Coast Trip Galleries:
2023 • Ireland
For the longest time, I wanted to go on a trip to Ireland and drive around the entirety of the island—visiting all four provinces and finding locales off the beaten path. My drive around the island followed a counter-clockwise direction: I started in Dublin, then went to Belfast, followed by Londonderry, then Galway, Cork, and finally back in Dublin.
2023 • East Coast Trip
In 2023, the itinerary for the East Coast Trip was almost exactly the same as it was the previous year: Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC, over Spring Break. However, while it was pretty cold throughout the trip, it was not nearly as cold as it had been the previous year.
2023 • Cabo San Lucas
The 2023-2024 school year was different from previous years because it had a Mid-Winter Break in February, which allowed me to go on a nice trip to Cabo San Lucas and escape the cold.
2022 • Great Lakes
With the world starting to get back to normal, I decided to go on a trip that I had long wanted to go on: traveling to three of the professional sports halls of fame around the great lakes of Ontario and Erie. The trip started in New York City and ended in Cleveland, Ohio.
2022 • East Coast Trip
After two straight years of having to cancel the East Coast Trip due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we were determined to have the Class of 2022 go on their trip! While it was exhausting, visiting the cities of Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington was an incredible experience for everyone involved.
2021-22 • Cabo San Lucas
After being unable to travel internationally due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we could schedule a trip back to Cabo San Lucas over the course of Winter Break from December 2021 to January 2022. While in Cabo, we did not go to the arch like usual, but found a new beach to hang out at: Chileno Beach.
2021 • Kaua’i
In 2020, we had a trip planned to Kaua’i, but due to the lockdowns, we had to cancel and postpone the trip. For much of 2020 and early 2021, it seemed like the rescheduled trip for 2021 might not happen, but as conditions got better, it became clear that we would be able to make it to the Aloha State.
2021 • High Sierras
Towards the end of the lockdown era during the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided to take a trip up to the High Sierras and Mammoth Mountain in particular. With most of the activities being outside and everyone going on the trip being in my COVID bubble, there was minimal risk.
