Travel the World!
One of the best ways to learn about history and our shared cultural heritage is to travel and experience different cultures and visit sites of historical significance.

2020 • Zion National Park
The first week of June in 2020, we were supposed to be heading to the island of Kaua’i in Hawai’i, but due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, that trip was cancelled in May. As a result of this, we started looking at places to go that were a bit closer to home and that would allow us to practice social distancing. So, we decided to go to the great outdoors, to Zion National Park.
2020 • Catalonia & Andorra
For my final stop on my Winter Break trip to Europe, I decided to return to Catalonia. This time, however, I would spend a fair amount of time outside of the city and would head up to the Pyrenees Mountains between Spain and France while also visiting the microstate of Andorra.
2019-20 • Switzerland
I continued my Winter Break trip to Europe by heading west to Switzerland. Starting in Geneva, I was able to take in what this truly international city has to offer. After spending some time in Geneva, I rented a car and drove into the Alps to go snowboarding in Zermatt—home to the world-famous Matterhorn!
2019 • Vienna
For my trip to Europe during Winter Break 2019-20, I decided to go to Austria and Switzerland (the Alps) and, Catalonia, Andorra, and France (the Pyrenees). In Austria, I stayed in Vienna to enjoy the incredible history that the city has to offer.
2019 • London
With my Spring Break being taken up by the East Coast trip, I had to move my annual European trip to Winter Break. This year, as usual, I stopped in England before heading to Austria, Switzerland, Catalonia, and Andorra.
2019 • East Coast Trip
The 2018-2019 school year was my first year teaching at San Benancio, and, of course, I was a chaperone for the 2019 East Coast trip! The trip in 2019 only visited the Washington area and New York City, but it was a great time for everyone who went.
2018 • Cabo San Lucas
After a fun trip in 2017, we decided to return to Cabo San Lucas in June of 2018. While it was still a fun trip, a storm rolling in messed things up a bit. Because of the storm, we could not get off at Lover’s Beach by the arch, Playa Médano’s rip current was extra strong, and our flight was even pushed back a day because of the remnants of a hurricane!
2018 • England
London is always one of my favorite destinations, and I always find time to see what I can do when I am there. This time, however, I did not really stay long in the UK when arriving, but on my way out of Europe.
