In 2013, the hockey and baseball schedules lined up in a way that had the Ducks playing in Vancouver against the Canucks while the Angels were playing down in Seattle. So, as any good sports fan would do, I booked a trip! This also was the first (and as of this writing), the only time I have ever been to Canada. What is amusing about this trip, is that when I flew into Seattle and picked up my rental car, the car actually had California plates. So, when crossing the border into Canada, the Canadian border patrol thought that I had driven all the way from California for a hockey game! When heading back south into the United States, the US border patrol made the exact same assumption. Vancouver is an absolutely gorgeous city and I wish that I had had more time to explore. The mountains reflecting on the water, and the greenery around the city made an impression on me and I look forward to going back in the future.
